Continuing a lifelong fascination with wood, sculpture and art, I have focused my attention on working with the lathe.  When turning bowls and hollow forms, I endeavor more for the artistic than the utilitarian.  I work primarily with wood native to North Carolina and favor natural finishes.  I create these pieces largely for the personal pleasure and satisfaction I enjoy in creating them and my desire to pursue excellence in the art of wood craft.  The sale of my work enables me to purchase needed tools and to explore additional methods and techniques.
